I agree. Try Sage.
What about a stormy blue color? You'd never get rif of me if you'll paint it that color!
BLUE BLUE BLUE....and CRAP I forgot to get those pics to you...I'll try to do it soon. I promise. SAND AND SEA....It's lovely I'm tellin' ya...Cindy Bee
As I sit in a red room I scold you. Decorate it and then see. Don't be hasty it is so unlike you :) hehe
I agree, to much like Christmas!! Maybe a toned down yellow?
Good for you for trying it!
I love my red room....it brings so much energy to a room. That's where everyone hangs out in my house....
At least you gave it a shot. Can't wait to see what happens next!
I like blue! Blue and orange are great together! Also, that's sort of a pinky red. ew
Sage Green-my favorite wall color ever!
That wall is (or appears to be in the picture) exactly the color of my house. I love it!
I like it but see I've been out-voted. Could you tone it down with cream or pale yellow...or tan to "distress" it? Wipe something over it and wipe off? all that work... xo, Cheryl
I like it!! but I have a red kitchen I adore :) what about hanging some distressed white iron work of some kind on the red wall to break it up a little..
They say red makes a person hungry... not me. It makes me all hot and sweaty.. try a cooler color.DI
Love the red. If you use sage or another toned down color, it will make the room seem blah. I think you should keep it.
I would try drybrushing a creamy colored paint mixed with glaze before repainting completely. Then maybe a big crackeled white framed mirror or something.Blessings,Lorilee
I love the red!
I love it. . . lot's of energy in red. . .It will grow on ya. . .it's the orange pillows, you need to put the floral pillows in the front to bring out the red and the orange pillows behind the floral. . . I agree with Janie, once you put stuff up on the wall, like the picture with the coffee cup, love that one, you'll love it, it's good, it's alive, it's you. . .
I once painted our hallway a similar color...looked like a murder had taken place! Of course, that was a downstairs and upstairs hallway, plus a staircase which was a bit much! One wall might be different! Thankfully I like painting...cuz I had to paint that hallway and many other rooms over again throughout the years! LOLCourtney
I have to say, I LIKE the red. Then again, the kitchen in my old house was painted just about the same color. It was wonderful. In my current house, the wall surrounding the door in the front entrance (on the inside) is painted that same red. So, what're you trying next?Hugs,Chris
I don't think it's half bad...I thought the same thing about red, but when we bought our house, the dining room was red. I saw it and said, that will have to be painted' but after we decorated it, I really do like it...keep it there for awile and see how your eyes adjust.
not abiding the red either. sorry.and you can so come take some of my boobage away. then we'd be, like, boob sisters or soemthing equally creepy sounding.
It needs to be a green. I think...
What about a dark Gray-Greenish to off set that other green.. I like the area though!!! Nope to the red...You sure no slaughtering has happened near that wall!! lol I had to say that.. Sorry. I had a red bathroom once.. Just once.. Friend came in and asked me if I had slaughtered a pig in the bathroom.. It had a textured wall. Urggggg. It is now Cool Blue.. lol
My vote was for blue! Try it you'll like it! Something light though, like turquoise or even lighter. ":<>
...how about just plain old white? why make it so much color? ..put the color in the pillows, plants and and stuff...
Yep-Hate the red..sorry to say! I'd say try the sage-y green OR off white...Good luck and God bless ya!;>) xo Diana
Try a really light blue for the ceiling and maybe continue the same color on the wall as the color on the window walls..........it's a small area and it might be a bit calmer feeling. Whatever you decide will be just right, you are so talented. (hint, you can go to the fabric store and look at material and see what colors look good together.)
Hmm... I like the red. It would need a piece of artwork in the middle of it.. but I like it. I also love a sage green, but the red really is working. I still don't see the blue there. I'm thinking blue isn't you.
have you thought of an aqua? ya know that is the color for all the latest decorating fiends out there!!! I am lovin aqua more and more all the time and it would look so pretty with your light green. geez girl you sure have choices!!!! nancy settel
I really am not hatin the red...A robins egg blue would be hot though
We used a golden yellow Benjamin Moore paint called Concord Ivory in our living room and just love it! We found it painted on the walls of a Yankee candle store. I think it would complement the green siding perfectly.
I love the red too! I think it's perfect, it's just that those chairs are screaming for a good paint job, in maybe a very dark brown? And the salmon colored pillows are throwin the red too. Maybe pick a different accent color, but two thumbs up for the wall color! Can't wait to see what you decide. Uh, but not blue!
gotta say, I agree. Next!
Give it some time. I painted my sunroom red with white trim. I walked in after it was done and screamed holy ****. It looked like a barn - BUT once the furniture was in and the artwork was up - it really looked great!
Thanks so much for leaving a comment!
