More Bootcamp Drivel...

I think it's so funny how we all have such different opinions on that wall.
Now that it's good and dry, and in different lighting, it's not that bad.
Parts of me love it red, other parts of me hate it red.
Love all your suggestions, but I do know I shan't go with blue.
I tried painting my bathroom robin's egg blue a few years ago, and the house rejected it.
I know that sounds crazy - but it blue just looks so out of place in this house!
I'm thinking of sanding it down some, and the art work is really going to cover quite a bit.
I think the color of the chairs are throwing me a lot.
I'm just not going to be in a hurry with it.
If anything, I'm just painting it the same as the other walls and calling it a day.

I really shouldn't be thinking about it at all - I'm so mentally preoccupied with other things.
You should see the state of my garden.
It's shameful.

Bootcamp is over a week from today.

I still have just over four pounds to go.
I'm fighting thoughts of being a loser if I don't make it.
I have a tendency to throw the baby out with the bathwater - heck, I'm known to through the tub and towels out too.

The fact that I've lost 44 lbs in 4.5 months is pretty darn good - and if I'm not careful I'll discount it all for not reaching my goal.

Here's a little video montage I did - getting ready for the end of Bootcamp -

Today I get my hair done, (I haven't had a haircut since January!) and tomorrow at 7am I meet my photographer friend for photos on railroad tracks with vintage suitcases as props.

I wanted photos that symbolize that I'm not done - that there is still a journey ahead of me.
I've made myself crazy trying to pick out clothes.  What I want to wear - still doesn't look 'right' on a gal my size.

Aaron will take my two piece pictures on Friday - I don't want to traumatize anyone else with them.

It's funny that I have my mind set that I can breathe a sigh of relief in one week, because truly nothing will change - it's not like I'll be eating pizza and laying on the couch.
I want to reach my ultimate weight loss goal by my 50th birthday in January.
I can slow things down a little after bootcamp is over.

I'm going to continue working with my Coach until my final goal is reached and beyond.
I'm in this for good.
I shan't put this weight back on again.
It's my time to shine.

Speaking of shining - look at the girls in this shot.
I didn't end up shoe shopping yesterday - I invested in Victoria's Secret Bombshell bra.
This is some serious armor, y'all.
I feel bullet proof in it.
It can double as pin cushions when I sew.
No need for air bags in the car now -
It's all smoke and mirrors.

  2. Jayme-I don't know you, but I have followed you through this weight loss and I think you're amazing!! My daughter in-law did "boot camp". She is athletic and young and she said it was one of the most gruelling exercise programs she has done. So my respect for you is off the charts lady! Don't give up. You look great!

  5. Jayme- I am SOOO darned proud of you, girl. I do hope you share more and more about your bootcamp..I sooo need to get to that level. I am working on the weight but it is a slow process. And, as you know, when your weight is not where it should be it throws the rest of your life into disorder too. Please keep sharing your journey xo Diana

  6. You. Look. So. GOOD... but I guess what's really important is how you are feeling. Sounds like you are feeling 100% better than a couple of months ago and that is where the importance of weight loss lies... how it makes us feel physically and mentally. Congratulations for taking this journey and getting fit!

  11. Girl, I love your hair color now as it is, it goes so well with your coloring. BOY!! that is one awesome "over the shoulder bolder holder", (quote from the movie, Beaches) your girls are lifted. I bet they feel so much better too.

Always think on the positive, the weight you have lost out shines the few that are hangin' on for dear life. I am so proud of you and your accomplishments. As for pizza, if you envision cat poop on each slice your mind will tell you...NO WAY will you eat that. Its been working when I wanted a slice. Now I cant stand the thought.

YOU look awesome and we all cant wait to see those pictures, the dress is beautiful and love the bling...

GOD bless you and keep you safe.

  12. Congratulations on the weight loss Hon! I wish I had the stamina to keep to a weight loss routine. You are an inspiration to us all. Don't get so hung up on the scale though. You look fabulous and so do the, "Girls" by the way!

  13. Well first of all congratulations on the weight loss and sticking with it. Since you've gone to boot camp, which I must have missed out on what that's all about because I don't know what boot camp is either...but since you've gone to boot camp, I've started a diet at least 5 times. Law (finished the book by the way)

And crap about blue...but you're right. The color of blue that I sent you doesn't match the style of your house. I'm thinking if you went with blue, it'd have to be a federal blue. What about the yellow in those cushions...yellow's pretty...or you know...just leave it red for awhile and see if it grows on you some more.

    Nice ta ta's btw!

  18. congrats on the weight loss!!!!

As for the color of walls or whatever...go to the nearest Wally World or Whatever Craft Section..buy a color wheel ( dollar piece of round cardboard) ...learn to use said color wheel..learn to use colors in the same hues/shades..to achieve the outcome your searching for...Not knowing this information keeps us wondering why that just doesn't float are boat after all that damn work....
You will be surprised to learn that BLUE is the complimentary color to ORANGE...just sayin..it has to be in the same shade/hue .... pastel with pastels..true colors to true colors...
    ~~PEACE~~

  23. You look lovely. I like your hair up. If you get depressed about losing 44 pounds in 4.5 months, just look east to your panting, trying-to-keep-up friend who is barely at 25 pounds after 6 months. You're way ahead of me girl.

  24. Congratulations on your stamina to stick with it when others around you have fallen, like me. You look GREAT and are very motivating for those like me to keep trying. Thanx

  25. I really, really love your dress. Lovely colour and style. And the bra is a good investment; I wear that type of bra all the time. I'm not as well-endowed as you, but definitely need the "support"! I think your skin looks fantastic too, especially your neck and chest area (d'ecolletage?). Maybe it's the honey and all that water you're drinking!
I have great faith that you will achieve your goal weight!

  27. Well, law. Those girls are quite a pair! Oh, to be a fly when Glenco arrived home to that.

Haven randomly told me tonight that "that chicken coop lady" smacked an ant off of her. Thou shalt be destined to never go by your true name around these parts!

I do believe I like the red.

    What else? What else?

    Nevermind...emailing now.

  29. Jayme, I've followed your blog for sometime and so love your garden, recipes, your love for Aaron, etc. Speaking as someone who has struggled with their weight all their life, stop obsessing over 4+ pounds. What you have achieved is life altering and takes tremendous dedication and soul searching. I'm not telling you to forget your goal but please enjoy your accomplishment as it is huge. Your sharing of this journey is inspiring. Thank you for sharing.

  32. I always knew you were made of "strong stuff" ~my family says this, it means you are bullet proof! The ta-ta's are now back in place, ready for a.c.t.i.o.n!! When a girl feels pretty, watch out!!!

  33. Holy honey bee Jayme you look "mavalus". I applaud your determination, what an inspiration you are.

The best piece of clothing for any woman is not a pair of shoes, dress, bling, or undies, but a bra. The right fitting bra makes you feel amazingly feminine. Such power in femininity.

Keep up the good work and without a doubt you will make your goal.
