The Big Brunette Reveal

Well?
Whatcha think?
I Instagramed it to hide my aging face.

I think I love it.
Do you see the magenta stripe on the right side?
I love that too.

I do believe the boy's got some serious skills.  I can only imagine once he gets a few years experience under his tool belt.

My favorite thing?
The magenta stripe that peeks out matches the new workout outfit I received for my birthday!
I seriously feel like a super hero - and in fact - I've been hankering to be a super hero for a while.

Can't talk long today - got a few friends coming by that want to talk to me about losing weight, restoring their health and changing their ways.

I'm making them my famous roasted veggies and chicken.
I have to stop cooking it so much - I may tire of it, and that would be a shame.

Let me know what you think of my hair!
Be nice.
: -)

  1. Great hair. But I think you'd be beautiful bald and even at your old weight. That inner beauty just beams right out.

  3. Happy Birthday! I agree with Brandee - you'd be beautiful bald - and the rest of what she said. :)

That's being truthful. And not just nice.

  4. Love it! My husband always comments on girls on TV that have a stripe of color in their hair and generally it's a positive comment... but I am too skeeerd to try it. You go girl! Your own private hair dresser... BAH... so jealous of you.

  5. Beautiful, Jayme!! Happy birthday, too. Yesterday was my birthday, but alas, I have no magenta stripes to show for it, just a trim. You are such an encouragement to your friends and readers.

  9. Love it! I actually finally left the blonde behind too... My hairdresser has been trying gently to convince me for a while now! Medium brown with highlights. I hated it at first, but it's growing (ha!) on me. Love it Jayms, looks great!

  16. I think it looks great on you. I've been considering a stripe in my hair but haven't done anything about it. I'd hate to mess up the color I have done because I love it a lot. Blue? Purple? I don't know.

  17. I love the brunette AND the fact that you plunged ahead and got a magenta strip done. You go girl! I always tell people if I were younger I would have a purple strip in my hair. They tell me to go ahead and do it but something just holds me back. I got old waaaay too fast!

  21. I also left the blonde with even blonder highlights a couple of years ago...right before my knee replacement surgery. Never looked back...
I LOVE yours...especially the magenta stripe!
This week I am having my daughter the hairdresser add some cherry coloring to the dark brown she has been using. Nothing wrong with a little brunette with a cherry on top, eh?

  25. It is totally awesome, and I might copy every inch of it! I'm a brunette naturally, so all I have to do is find someone who can cut as well as Aaron and do that little magenta streak! Aaron, I wish you lived within two hours of me, I'd make the drive!

  26. Looks awsome! Aaron did a great job! I myself became a brunette two years ago after being a blonde for 48 years. Glad Aaron is enjoying himself.

  28. I LOVE it!!! You look absolutely mahvelous, Jaym! I love the color, the cut ... and the stripe suits you! You must be so darn proud of Aaron ... and how cool to have your own private hairdresser! Love you, Sweetie!

  29. Your hair is beautiful and suits you. The lipstick is a good color for your hair as well. I had a magenta peek-a-boo stripe back in the '80s! I felt like a mild rebel in high school. My L.A. hair stylist had some rock & roll/punk clients and suggested the color streak. Later we switched to dark purple.

  30. Love it! You are beautiful as a blonde or brunette ...

  31. Very nice!!! I think with your complexion you can wear blond or brunett shades. The test is how you feel when you look at how your hair and skin look in bright light. Usually when you get a bit older the rule of thumb is to go a little softer (lighter) but it isn't written in stone. It's how your hair makes you feel :)

  32. Love it! For those who don't want a permanent stripe, use sidewalk chalk on your hair. If you don't like it, just brush it out!! I had a pink stripe for a few days, done by the hairdresser with chalk, my daughter told me to "grow up" so I brushed it out. FUN!!
