Popping In.....

Guess what?
I missed you guys.
A month is a long time!

Just wanted to say a couple of things....

Aaron got his license

Photo: Aaron got his license.....: -/ : -) : -(

He got his license the same day he found out he could start school in December.
It was also the same day I made a doctors appointment for some meds.
: -)

Phyllis is ailing again and in the house recovering.
She's got a bit of an eye infection and just seems under the weather in general.
I gave her a good bubble bath and a blow dry last night - made her some oatmeal which she ate up like a boss.
I plan on sneaking her in my backpack to the Appalachian Trail.

Photo: So....it's come to this

Hope you are drinking in the goodness of the autumn season!

  2. I taught all 4 of my kids how to drive before they went to drivers education classes.. Made me nervous the first time they took the car out of the driveway after they got their license.. I just loved it when the oldest boy got his license,,I sent him to the school to pick up the younger kids after school and go to the grocery store to get something I needed for supper..
Love the picture of your chicken getting a bath in the sink.. Hope her eye is better..Glad you are back~!~!

  3. Phyllis looks quite comfy in her bath. I opened the honey yesterday and I think it is even better this year than last. Good job, bees.

  4. Is there some Appalachian rule that bans chickens? I say take the girl along.

  12. Jayme-

I have no idea how I came across your blog. But I check in almost daily because each post is just too cute and makes me smile. I sent my Oma (Grandma) your blog so she too could follow along. But really, a chicken in a sink. I literally LOST it in my office. I did my best to compose my laughing and not turn bright red from holding it in... but I failed. So now my entire office knows all about Phyllis the chicken having a spa day. I do miss my hen and rooster. Luckily, my family had the nicest rooster I had ever come across. He liked to be held lol. Hope her eye gets better soon!

    Congrats to Aaron from Cali!
