Welcome to Starclucks -
Please step to the back of the line...
My name is Stubbes and I'll be your barista today....
Your drink size choices are...
And let's just say, who ever laid that big egg, has an aching 'venti' this morning....
OK - for this to be remotely funny - you must know the 'hole' the egg comes out of is called a vent.
Really, it's the height of cleverness if you think about it -
Please humor me - I have bee venom coursing through my veins - and I'm all like - I need to blog - put my hand is so swollen I can't type -
Pity comments please.
Thankyouverymuch.
Awww, that's ok. You go ahead and vent. heehee
ReplyDeleteVent away! Very clever...bee venom induced or not:)
ReplyDeleteVery cute post, I did get the "vent" humor!
ReplyDeleteVery funny post...sorry for the course of venom you are enduring!
ReplyDeleteSuch great humor! Sorry about the venom. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSorry you got stuck!!! But you must carry on...venting allowed!
ReplyDeleteHillarious! I am just jealous I didnt think of this clever post myself. My girls would all have loved to pose for such pictures to post on my blog! Have a super day, hope your hands get better soon!
ReplyDeleteWill this be the last time you go au naturel under the bee suit? The girls have a good business going there with Starclucks... I think it's gonna catch on!
ReplyDeletevenom...that is what I am going to start calling my morning venti. I pity you girl. A lesser woman would be in the hospital with hands as bad as yours ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm embarassed to say that i read the post and title several times before I noticed that it was "StarCLUCKS".... Funny how you get something in your mind and don't see anything else!
ReplyDeleteI miss my hens!!
My chuckle, or should I say cluckle for the day! THankyouverymuch!!
ReplyDeleteMy son is a barista at Starbucks. He'd find this very funny. I think it's a hoot!
ReplyDeleteCourtney
Very cute...I Love my chickens too!
ReplyDeletePoor Jayme. I'm glad I don't feel your pain!
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! How do you think of these things!?
ReplyDeleteP. S. Remember my bee sting this spring? The Chiropractor gave me something to take (after the fact and swelling was gone). It's like taking bee venom to build up your resistance so the next time you don't have such a strong reaction. I haven't been bit again, but the mosquito bites and ant bites I have received haven't itched nearly as much as normal.
Ahhh.. Cheers tho. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, since I grew up on a chicken farm, I totally got it and giggled ! Of course I didn't love our chickens so much then, but now I could totally have a few running around Lavender Hill !
ReplyDeleteI'm having a STINKY Give Away.... I'd love it if you'd pop over and check it out !
Hope you're on the mend soon,
gena
GAH! My venti aches just looking at that EGG!
ReplyDeleteCUTE! I also love wrinkled looking eggs!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Lorilee
Girl, Venti all you want... OUCH on the one that laid that egg and on the bee sting... your poor hand!!!
ReplyDeleteI was trying to remember what is good for that, was it peeing on the sting or was that for jellyfish stings...I cant remember??? But hey you can try it and get back to us on it. I did hear somewhere if you tape a copper penny over the sting it will help take the sting out and if you use household ammonia with a cotton ball......hence getting back to peeing on the sting.. the ammonia....
I so hope your poor hand will be better soon, you have so much to do on the farm like taking care of those chickens and getting a ice pack for the one that laid that egg...her bum could sure use it.
Ah, Jayme, you're so funny.. even when you're feeling pain. Feel better soon! Hubs bought me some welding gloves for bee work.. no stings yet, although I do feel sad that they're made from a poor goat :( Anyway, highly recommend Tillman brand welding gloves - found these at a welding supply store. I was surprised that my man-size hands fit perfectly in their smalls :) Bee safe!! -Tammy
ReplyDeleteOuch! That's all I got.
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny! Our chickens, about every other day give us an egg the size of your "venti." Ouch. I always say it, every time, "Ouch!" We also get light green colored eggs from some of ours...but they are never that big! You're hilarious, by the way!
ReplyDeleteThat venti looks painful.
ReplyDeleteYou kill me with the funny thing you say! I love the "Venti" LOL! Your blogs are not only funny but informative as well!
ReplyDeleteStarclucks? Venti? AHHH! You are SO AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you could "vent" on us. Ha, ha, ha, I "crack" myself up, and I guess I am just an "egghead" for thinking all this funny.
ReplyDeleteHaha! An amazing eventi! Actually I thought your heading said "Starducks" at first! I love looking at eggs. They are all so different in shape, size and colour. They are amazing things really. How many food items come to you pre-packaged so prettily and conveniently? I think the hen who laid that whopper deserves a little reward.
ReplyDeleteKathy from Tasmania
That's a TALL order from a GRANDE Dame..asking us to soothe you with words of pity...Okay- I DO feel sorry for you and will let you VENT all you want but you must promise not to whine. Pity the poor Mother that laid the big one! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness you're such a yolker!
ReplyDelete":<>
Thank you for clueing me in on the vent humor. Five minutes later....I laughed. Ok, maybe not 5 minutes, but still.
ReplyDeleteLove you and your new skinny self.

Beautemous chicks. And I love "Starclucks."
ReplyDeletePersonally, I have to wonder about an egg that comes with stretch marks on it.
ReplyDeleteVery clever! Mr. B loves jumbos and super jumbos. In our last dozen we had a very wrinkled egg. Your chickens are very attractive, but one has gray legs! Nancy
ReplyDeleteVenti...tee hee!
ReplyDeleteYou poor thing. It seems like one thing after another sometimes. You blogged about 2 of my favorite things--coffee and chickens :)
ReplyDeletethat really was the height of cleverness by the way. and I do feel your pain, I swell like that from bee stings too. My hubby insists that I have an epi pen in case I happen to get stung in the neck or somewhere kind of important to breathing like that.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! A friend just referred me here because she thought I would enjoy it. She's right, I do! I live in a small town in NW Kansas and want to have a chicken coop. My town has an ordinance against livestock, but I think that sometimes easier to ask forgiveness than permission. Wish me luck!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and read the chicken posts first ( my girls like it when I read to them). Mr. Bigs (invision small turkey sized cochin rooster) was horrified by the auction post( had him checking for the nearest exit) but he thought the post with the starbucks spin off was quite humorous indeed . Gracie proceeded to peck him in the head for crowing at the venti joke...... she doesn't take kindley to him making fun of their pain.
ReplyDeletethanks for the read.
