I celebrate on Christmas Eve - so that's why it's just a day away!
Oh what a riot your comments were!
I had so much fun with Helene.
You'll be sure to see her again.
If you've got nothing better to do - you might want to watch a few of the outtakes - just click over on the videos on the right...
Well y'all - it's almost here - and I hope you are in a good place - mentally, emotionally and physically.
I'm rather fragile this morning.
24 hours ago, right now - my beloved, and I do mean beloved Jinksie dropped dead before my very eyes.
Suddenly.
He didn't suffer - although I am now.
I haven't been able to sleep or eat since he passed.
I've completely dehydrated myself through my tear ducts.
Two years old - healthy to the human eye.
Sadness.
But that's not what today's blog is about - goodness - we don't need to talk about a dead cat right before Christmas. I'll give you the details later.
What I wanted to share with today was my Coach's blog post from yesterday.
It's one of the best things I've read in like forever.
It's a GREAT reminder on a day like today - when you might be in a flurry of busyness and you need to pause and really remember the reason for the season.
And if ya really love me - won't you leave him a comment wishing him a Merry Christmas, and thanking him for helping me be so fabulous?
It would mean the world to me if ya did.
From a very tired, hungry, heartbroken and dehydrated Coop Keeper -
I thank you from the bottom of my bottomless heart.
So sorry about your Jinxsy! I bet that was (is)horrible. So sorry.
ReplyDeleteI am so terribly sorry about your sweet cat. I can't imagine how awful that must have been. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about your poor kitty. I love mine like children so I feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Deb
xo
Oh I'm so sorry...how awful and painful for you! Big hugs.
ReplyDeleteJayme,
ReplyDeleteI am just heartbroken to hear about your lovely cat! It sounds very much like a heart issue. Our cat had a clean bill of health until she was almnost two and the vet found the irregular heartbeat. It had not been there the year before. Since then, I have given her medicine every night for five years now. My vet says that it is amazing as even with the medicine, many don't do well. She also told me that anytime a young cat drops dead suddenly, it is usually the heart. I can tell you that I wailed on the floor for hours when we first found out! Then, a peace came over me and I have not worried one bit ever since. I will have her for the time I will have her and I am unable to govern that. You gave your Jinxsy a wonderful life for the life that he had and you loved him. I hope that you will get another cat in time and love it for however long it has. None of us knows, but to love with the time that is given us, ah!, that is the thing! Merry Christmas to you, Bonnie
sorry about your cat. please try to have a merry christmas. susie (She Junks)
ReplyDeletehugs my sweets...I am off to David's.
ReplyDeleteOh, Jayme, sweetheart ... I'm sending you a cyber hug, because hugs are the best medicine to make the grief more bearable.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your kitty.
ReplyDeleteYou were fabulous long before you met "the coach". He just helped you be more fabulous!
Marry Christmas Jayme!
Merry Christmas, Jayme! Checked out the coach's blog and I agree. It was very true. I keep thinking about all my snowmen. Still packed in Rubbermaid in my basement. I didn't put them out this year because my daughter said it looked like the house 'puked snowmen'. I think she was just trying to be funny. But it's funny...I don't really miss them! I have a 2 month old grandbaby living with me and Christmas is just bursting in my heart. Merry Christmas, Girl!! So glad I am getting to know you. Sorry about the kitty. Love ya!
ReplyDeleteJayme, I am so sorry. How devastating, especially right before Christmas. It is amazing how our animals can take ahold of our hearts so easily. They are truly a blessing and a gift. I hope you find peace over this soon. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteAWWW, I am so sorry. My heart aches with you.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your cat. I certainly know how you feel.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the blog post from your trainer. I read it, I commented. SO TIMELY for me!

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your beloved Jinksie. I just found out my little Clara has the beginning stages of heart disease. So sad. I'm sure you have some sweet memories and I would love to hear about them when you are ready to tell us.
In the meantime I wish you, Glenco, Aaron, his new dad and his mom a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

So sorry to hear about your kitty. I am having a sad week too, as my dog passed away unexpectedly during Monday night.
ReplyDeleteI must say Helene gave me a good chuckle though. I could see her giving wise advice as an agony aunt as well. "Dear Helene, how do I train my husband to pick up his dirty socks"...that kind of thing!
Kathy from Tasmania
As someone who has seen my share of pets pass away, I know how you're feeling. So sorry.

Jayme,
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear about Jinksie. I know how you feel and it is heartbreaking. Cats are very good at hiding illnesses so that you sometimes just never know. It's almost as if they don't want to "trouble" us. Just know that he is now your angel in the sky watching over you. I'll light a candle in his honor tonight and ask my Rainbow Bridge Babies to welcome him.
I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Jinxsie. He looks just like my darling Nemo and we sure love him. So hard of a loss especially around the holidays.
ReplyDeleteso sorry! jan
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so sorry to hear about your dear cat. My thoughts are with you.
ReplyDeleteHugs!!
Courtney

Jayme! :-( so so sorry. It hurts...Hug hug hug....sending little hearts of love your way - reach up and catch them when they stop over your house...okay? they are for YOU! :-) I am sure that kit-kat had the best home it could have had in TEN lives - living with Jayme the coop-keeper...so take heart dear bloggy sis.~ I am going to read your coach's blog and WILL leave a comment. You have yourself a warm Christmas with Glen and Aaron and family and anyone else coming by your nest.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the laughs you give me and good information too! Thrilled to know you Jayme. looking forward to much more in 2012, and goodness gracious...going to look at the outtakes! woot! xoxoxo
Jayme, my dear friend, I totally understand. And you can't tell me that those sweet pets don't have a place in heaven. I grieve for ones I see along the road. Allow yourself to cry all you want, then trust God will bring another kitten into your heart and home.
ReplyDeleteGee, I hope FPFG brings me back to your door this summer, and Aaron had better show up too. I need a laughter fix.
Jayme, I am so sorry to read about sweet Jinxsie, please accept my sincere condolence. Merry Christmas and Best Wishes in the New Year. Julie of Dog Trot Farm
