Oh Helene, Thank you for this simple yet delicious Christmas treat. It looks so easy and do-able for even us girls with the fancy manis. I see you were able to do it with your holiday nails. Thanks so much. Merry Christmas. PS Would you share your lip color? Just beautiful.
LOL! I have GOT TO HAVE some of those earrings! LOVELY! Is this snack for real. I have my nieces this weekend...but I just can't imagine saltines and chocolate and such.
You are a nut!!! I loved Aaron snickering in the background- by the way where the heck did that shirt come from??? So not you or Aaron. Jonatan still raves about your coon song. Merry Christmas Jayme!
Helene, does the recipe only work if you have a snickering nephew-child in the background? And please tell us where you got those earrings and windbreaker. I must get them for myself!
oh helene. please, please tell me that you will be showing your sweet face more often. I can't figure out to do with my husband. He's addicted to sauce...not the alcoholic sauce, but the ketsup/honey mustard/mayo/ranch kind. He's ruining all my meals with sauce! I think he's even dipping his cereal in it. What do you suggest?
I love you. Mmmmm is this a "girl crush"? My daughter in law hooked me up with your blog. Follow you excitedly and joyfulily since then. Wanna make soda cracker bark now... Julee Mama to many (28 kids last count, 9 grandbabies so far, just home from from three fun weeks in china adopting #27 and #28)...thank you for your blog. I look forward to your posts. "stillwater julle" will you be my friend?
Jayme, You my dear are a riot!! Thank you so much for my morning smile. Hearing Aaron laughing in the background was the best. Hope you guys have a very Merry Christmas! MUAH! Sara
I knew I had to break my computer fast to come see what you are up too, so glad I did... Thankful to I was wearing my Depends.
The nails, glasses, lipstick...earrings... Move over Martha Stewart...no...move over Carol Brunette who played Mrs. Wiggins..... and what was the character Cher played wearing the leopard outfit and funky glasses? You beat them all. Keep this up...we all need a good belly laugh.
Laugh out LOUD!!! YOu just made my morning, because all these endorphins are racing through my body from laughing and laughing...My gosh...have I missed Helene before??? PLEASE let her visit every month....I LOVE HER!!
That woman is a combination of the character Cher played with the hangy down bauble earrings and crazy scarves/hats on her head, and the gold fish in her stacked heels, - and- Lily Tomlin in her One Ringy Dingy phone operator role! CRACKS ME UP!!!...Great recipe! I have to think Aaron was NOT holding the camera...it had to be on a tripod. There is no way he could have been holding that and keeping it still - yes...I hear him guffawing...he is a great producer and director..I see it in his future! LOVE to you Jayme girl...m daily dose of love and laughs from Indiana...seriously, have a wonderful Christmas...you and Glen and Aaron and sis and the gang out at the Coop...HUGS sent flying across the miles from Iowa for all the joy and laughter and warmth you give to us girls out here..You are a friend and sis truly..."kindred spirits gal"...xoxoxoxoxox :-)

Dear Helene, I was wondering if you had a good recipe for pickled Herring? I seem to have misplaced mine and the holidays won't be the same without it. The package of crackers jogged my memory, we eat the herring with saltines... special indeed! I'm hoping that you will be sharing more helpful hints in the months to come. Merry Christmas!
This is not good! I'm sitting here with my leg propped up, no weight bearing at all and you have to post this hilariousness that has me practically falling out of the chair! You are a dangerous and outrageously fun lady!!!! I hope you have a blessed Christmas and get Aaron for every minute of it!!!! Bless that boy!! and you too!!
Bahahahhahaaaa. I have an alter ego personality too. Her name is Connie from Jersey. She's got long blaaaack hair, long red finganaillls, big gold hoop earriiings, and smokes alllll day. ;)
Helene, you saved the day.( and to think some try to do this with pretzels.) Your cameraman made me laugh, I could just see him trying to hold the camera still. Love the dress, the earrings, glasses and of course the recipe!! My honey was laughing right along with me.
Helene, we here in Maine refer to that recipe as "Butter Brickle" and just let me say it can be very addicting. Jayme, I mean Helene, you need to pack your bags and head to Hollywood!!! Looking forward to more! Blessings, Julie
Whew I was so behind on my blogs and trying to catch up reading, when this popped up I laughed so hard, I may injured something. So funny!! You're the best!
