I'm Trying

I took this picture this morning on a weed identification nature walk with Aaron. I loved the way this particular flower was up above the rest.

It was trying so hard.

I feel like that today.

I'm trying.

Hard.

Trying to balance homeschooling, work, the garden, my social life, and my quest for a simple quiet life.

I feel battle weary today. Bad headaches and sciatic nerve problems are cropping up. I think it's my body's way of telling me to slow down some.

I'm trying. :-)

  1. I hear the part of needing to slow down. My body is defnately saying that to me too today.

Hubby has been on vacation for a week and we did so much around the house I am exhausted and yet I hate to see him go back to work.

Hope tomorrow is better for you.

  2. I feel ya Babe, take it easy. We are in our 40's not 20's. Make Aaron do all the hard stuff, and let someone else make dinner and do the dishes just for tonight. Love ya gal, RRRhhhooonnndddaa

  3. Girl friend, your cup runneth over, your body is definitely telling you that. You need to listen to it in order to have that simple quiet life.
Relax the rest of today and tomorrow will be better, don't over do it, and listen to what your body says. We all need you around and maybe some things have to give.
    Take it easy, Love Ya

  4. I just found your blog from a comment you left on Coal Creek Farm. I like it. A lot. (You and I started blogging at about the same time.)

Ditto the comments above: listen to your body. Some days you just have to hold your hand up and say "enough." (It's a lesson I keep having to learn on a regular basis.)

  5. Queen Anne's Lace?

I hope you can get some rest! :) I push myself like that too. I think I am getting better. Maybe! :)

  6. Jayme, your "plate" is like a buffet. Way over flowing because the plate is a small one. Listen to your body now because it won't last forever with all you do. You have many things to look forward to so evaluate your plate and maybe eliminate a few choices. Mmmm...I would get Helen and go to the Squirrel and have a long talk with self. If I could go back in time I wouldn't push the way I did all my life. There isn't a pay return. Love ya
