An unretouched photo of some salad greens, and baby turkeys that I picked up yesterday.
God HisSelf is smiling on this little place.
It's in moments like these that I feel true soul prosperity.
Picking cherries, harvesting honey, picking still wet with dew greens, and hearing the peeps and cheeps of baby birds.
It's a lot of work - but it's a labor of love.
Have a beauty full day today.
I loved reading this post Jayme! Last summer we bought 10 acres with the desire to leave our quarter acre home in the burbs and build a simple house in the country. We have spent 9 months clearing the land in anticipation of having the funds to build. In the meantime we have tried to enjoy the land to the fullest. We have chickens, a veggie garden and I've been busy adding flower gardens all over the place as frugally as possible. It's become my passion to head to the farm after work and putter. You are a blessed woman to be living each day surrounded by your animals ans plants. I'm having a blast learning all sorts of new stuff and I love insights reflecting your own journey.

It's about being close to the dirt and the animals. It's soulful, I get it.
ReplyDeleteI'm still wanting honey when you have some available. Can't get through next Winter without your honey for my tea!
A beautiful life. :) All your hard work is paying off...eating clean, exercising, and decluttering. I know you couldn't enjoy these blessings without the hard work. :)
ReplyDeleteI am there with you in spirit this morning, dear Jayme! I love days like that-when the sun seems to shine a little brighter and the breeze is a little more cooling and you feel like you are walking in a Happiness Bubble. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteSounds pretty much like perfection, Jayme!

So are these turkeys as in Thanksgiving dinner turkeys, or are they pets?
ReplyDeleteYou do have a wonderful life Jayme. You've worked hard and now you, Glenco and Aaron have so much to be thankful for. Its nice to have peace and hear God speaking to us through nature and bounty.

Went out to visit the bees that will be moving to my yard later this summer, got you to blame, oops I mean thank for putting this crazy idea into my head. Thank you, really thank you, your video was what made me realize that I COULD do this!!
