Happy Birthday Pam in Colorado!!

I've just got a minute before I grab me mops and me brushes and head off to my cleaning job - so I'll have to answer your comments later....but I couldn't let the day pass without wishing a

Happy Birthday to Pam in Colorado!!!

Girl, you just can't leave a comment here like this and get away with it.

First of all: Happy Birthday! It sounded like a good birthday, all in all. My birthday is this Thursday. I never celebrate my birthday because as a child, everyone always forgot it was my birthday. Everyone else in the family's is in August and somehow I always got overlooked. Never had a party, never got a cake. So, I just stopped hoping. This year will be different. For the first time in 56 years I will be celebrating my birthday. Wish me luck. I decided it was time. I am nervous...

And now: Aaron is so doggone cute! He will go far just on that beautiful smile of his.

I am glad you are well. Pam from Colorado.

I so hope that you are going to celebrate yourself today!!!

If I could I'd hop on a plane and we'd do it in style - but from the barren cornfields of Indiana this is the best I can do.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAM!!!!

Please join me in leaving a comment for Pam - wishing her a most wonderful day!

  10. My birthday was forgotten too! My father of all people never remembered my day, friends and family members too! I would take a week off, and spoil myself silly. It has taught me that only I know the best gifts to give myself, and I will never forget. Happy Birthday Pam!

  17. Happy Birthday Pam! Many wishes for a lovely day!

I always bake my own cake and find a reason to wear a tiara sometime during the day on my birthday. I know no one else was going to do it for me and I wanted to celebrate! I still share my cake because I make GOOD cake!

I hope you find a special way to make your day fun! Whether it's a nice dinner, a happy meal toy, or flowers or a balloon. Find something simple that makes you smile and make it part of a birthday tradition. :)

  24. This is for Pam in Colorado. Birthdays were never celebrated at our house while growing up either. Now, I like a to-do once in a while. And, don't even wait for your birthday to celebrate if that's what you want.

  25. Wow. Okay, so this is a little bit embarassing and overwhelming. Thank you everyone (and especially Jayme!). My guy was so excited when I announced I had decided to celebrate this year, he planned a whole weekend. I don't know yet what it entails, except we will be staying at a bed and breakfast up in the mountains. The rest is a surprise. So, I am excited. Kind of like a little kid excited. Funny story: once when I was in elementary school, I created invitations for everyone in my class, inviting them to my house after school for my birthday party. We all walked to my house after school, and there was no party. I don't know what I thought would happen. I guess I really believed by magic there would be a party. Boy, was my mother surprised! We were laughing about it a few days ago. Thank you all. Go have a treat and celebrate my birthday! 'Cause, yes, I was born. Pam

My birthday is January 4th and it always gets over looked being so close to Christmas and all. This year was my 30th and it was kind of a bust so I told my husband that we are moving it to June next year! (It would be July but there just so happens to be another big to do on July 4th...)

  43. Happy Birthday Pam! That is a sad story from childhood if I ever heard one, but the more important part I hear is that you are doing for yourself all that you deserve in celebration of your Self. Hooray for you! Hooray for your thoughtful guy who sounds like he knows what a treasure he has found. Dont be nervous! Soak up every detail and once you get your feet back on the ground, start thinking about how to do it up again next year! A Texas-sized birthday hug to you!

  44. Sending nothing short of THE best wishes to you, Pam! Hoping today was full of celebration - the celebration of being able to see the blue sky, put two feet on the ground in the morning and enjoy each tiny miracle in the ordinary things - and the extraordinary fact that today is your birthday!

You are loved, supported and cheered on today - by perfect strangers - who really are not such strangers after all, because we are all in this gig together.
