Crazy Chicken Lady

Up in this house - this is completely normal behavior.

You see - it's a sad tale actually -
a tale of heartache and woe - much too much for a Monday morning.
I was a bit of a neglected baby - I slept in a dresser drawer when I was first brought home -
the neglect wasn't intentional - just circumstances.

Ergo - I have an oral fixation.
I blame the lack of breastfeeding -
I want to put everything in my mouth.

And you thought I kept chickens cause I liked eggs.
Can I let you in on a secret?
If I eat another egg I swear I'll gag to death.

What's that?
Yes...I do live in that apron.
Wouldn't you?

  4. You know, down in Alabama, we say, "Get me a spoon! She is so cute I could just eat her up!" (usually referring to a baby and its fat little legs).

Maybe that's why we say that?

We have nine little chicks right now, but I tell you it is time with a capital T to move them out of my living room. The place is stinkin to high heaven.

  12. Jayme, I too slept in a dresser drawer at my grandma's though not at home. She was the best grandma in the World and would keep me on the week-end and didn't have a baby bed, dresser drawer worked fine. I bought me a pretty apron yesterday it was half price at a close out store. Love you and the little bitty cuties.

  18. Do NOT change the apron... they coordinate nicely with the color of the baby bantams.

Is the difference in color boy/girl? Have you named them yet? Made diapers? How long before they lay eggs? Hmmmm, I think I'm out of questions!

  31. Catching up on blog reading....my husband and I cracked up at you attempting to put those babies in your mouth....I sooooo get it! I just love having baby chicks, this is the first year in 5yrs of having chickens that I have no spring babies.....I miss them so much, but we just have to much going on with some traveling.
Enjoy them, they grow up to fast!

  32. Oral fixation and gobbling them up nearly made me pee my pants! You have self diagnosed yourself again, it was caused from being put in a drawer and lack of breast feeding. That explains why my girls are free of poultry at their advanced ages. Me, wannabe chicken lady was bottle fed...see! I am examining my skin ever so closely each morning, how could this serum work so fast?
