  2. Thanks for "showing me" a glimpse of your love for Missouri. Sorry, I know I'm a dork for saying that and putting it in quotes. I appreciated the links and the invitation to read more about your love for the place. My sister lives in MO, and she's "shown me" (sorry) the Lewis and Clark hoopla, The Laura Ingalls house and part of the Missouri wine trail. Guess which part I liked best? Family, though, family--a good reason to wander back.

  3. Glad you are enjoying my home state of Missouri. Interesting reading your Missouri history. Consider this your PERSONAL INVITATION to come here for rest and recharging your batteries anytime you want to! Enjoy the rest of your stay here in the Show Me State. Blessings to you. And yes, isn't it sweet to know one day we will all be together again . . . and He will wipe away every tear. Hallelujah.

  5. Oh I wish I were there with you. I'd take you to my family home. Built in the 1850's by my great great great grandfather on my mother's side and lived in until my great-aunt passed a few years ago. It's still in the family and we even have a family graveyard there too. There is sooo much stuff stored in the upstairs bedrooms of the house. The home is still owned by my mom's cousin and hopefully one of his son's will move into it. It looks alot like the one in the picture on your previous post about run down houses except ours isn't that run down. I have wonderful memories of going to visit my aunt and uncle and their big garden and her out of this world dinners at this house. We were never allowed upstairs because my aunt was embarrased by the state it was in but my cousin let me go up there after she passed. What a treasure trove of things up there...a very old rifle, rocking chair, pictures, irons, etc...we even found a powder horn made out of an animal's horn! I need about a week more up there to just explore and absorb all the history it holds...

  6. When you asked us where you woke up this morning, my first thought was 'in your living room naked in a chair!'
