I'm sitting here absolutely bristling.
It's becoming more and more difficult to contain my enthusiasm of late.
Spring y'all.
The Earth is waking up - and I'm digging it.
I feel like a kid in a candy store!
The possibilities!
The plans!
The sheer joy of new birth and new hope.
It seems the older I get, the more I notice the subtle nuances of the season's change.
The slant of light through the blinds -
the smell of certain days -
Even though this morning is dreary - drizzly - in my heart it's the most glorious morning ever.
Enjoy one of my favorite songs and do a little deep breathing.
Count your blessings.
Mine is the sunlight -
Mine is the morning......
sigh.
Thanks for a really nice post to start my drizzling morning.
ReplyDeleteLove that song too!!! :-) Have a Merry Monday Jayme... Hugs to you. EVEN IN IOWA we have some showers forecast...but hitting the 60's this week!!! WOOT! *(course I'm not thinking Spring is here...yet..She's just knocking on the door is my best way of looking at it! ) xoxoxo :-)
ReplyDeleteOH PS...I agree with Aaron...Helene needs to visit soon. :-p
ReplyDeleteWe had a wonderful Spring weekend here in CO for a change! How excited was I to see my hyacinths and tulips peeking up?? Enough to go get Mr. B to come lookee! Come see!! I love Spring!! It's my favorite :)
ReplyDeleteAw, Cat Stephens. I used to play all his music when I was a kid. Bought the piano music for every album he made back in the day. This was a favorite. I didn't find out until I was an adult that this song was actually an old English hymn.
ReplyDeleteIf I still had a piano, I would SO be playing right now!
: )
I have always loved that song..and I feel the same way, Jayme. What a blessing to be alive and able to enjoy God's beauty that He has shared. xo Diana

ReplyDeleteHave always loved that song and it fits this day and this season! We are having a glorious sunny day here on Granny Mountain! Those zinnias just made my morning!
ReplyDeleteI always dug that song. Was really ticked off when he dropped off the face of the map & later learned he found a new religion.....
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about bristling! I've got so many springtime ideas and plans flitting through my brain that I need to just get started on them! Because they won't stop coming... they just keep piling up, sheesh, what's a spring-lover girl to do?!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh...Cat Stevens...one of my very favorite. I feel 20 something again!! Nothing like spring and morning!
ReplyDeleteCat Stevens awww we are soul mates!! I love this song!
ReplyDeleteI"m feeling it too, Jayme!....
ReplyDeleteIt is getting exciting isn't it?! Are you hens acting funny lately? Mine have been extra affectionate...if they can be called that. Easily caught to pet and more docile. I think love is the air more them :) But alas, no love to be found in our hen house! Except mine :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful reminder, Jayme.
ReplyDeleteWe should breathe it all in and drink up each day.
I want to wring out each moment and leave the day
used up at nightfall.
Hey, maybe I just figured out how to leave a comment! Robbins are throbbin... See the crocus work its hoco pocus! Open your heart to SPRING!
ReplyDeleteLove that song. Love SPRING. Am counting my blessings and one of 'em is your cheerful blog!
